About Ben

I am a fully qualified secondary school teacher with expertise in PE, Science, and Geography, and I bring over 3 years of teaching experience alongside 7 years of tutoring. This combination enables me to tailor each lesson specifically to your needs, ensuring it aligns with your course requirements. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with numerous exam boards on coursework and exams, allowing me to pinpoint exactly what is needed to secure top marks. I am incredibly passionate about these subjects and I’m dedicated to helping you not only understand the material but also to enjoy studying it. My goal is to boost your grade to its highest potential while fostering a genuine interest in the topics. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Sports and Exercise Science from Loughborough University, renowned as the best university in the world for sport-based subjects. I also hold a PGCE in Secondary Education from The University of Exeter. Through my studies, I have gained in-depth knowledge in human anatomy, biology, sociology, psychology, and, most importantly, teaching pedagogy. This training has equipped me with a broad understanding of different learning styles and effective teaching strategies, enabling me to provide the most effective support for your success. In addition to my academic qualifications, I have over 10 years of experience as a fully qualified professional surf coach, as well as coaching tennis, football, and table tennis. This extensive coaching experience has further refined my teaching skills, ensuring I can adapt to the best learning methods for you, no matter your style, and guide you towards achieving an outstanding grade. Having studied Geography, Physical Education, and Biology at A-Level, I earned AAB in these subjects and can offer insight into how to approach these topics at both GCSE and A-Level. In my spare time, I enjoy a variety of activities that keep me active and balanced. I love surfing, travelling, playing football, going to the gym, practising yoga, and reading. One of my favourite books is The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, which has been a great source of inspiration in both my personal and professional life.
