About Dedra
Hi! I'm a passionate, down-to-earth acting coach with a BA in Theater and over a decade of hands-on performance experience across stage, screen, and immersive environments. For more than 6 years, I’ve worked at community arts centers, helping kids and teens of all ages discover their voice, confidence, and creativity through acting. I’ve spent 7+ years performing at Renaissance fairs across the South, where I brought to life a wide range of characters — from witty nobles to mischievous rogues — honing the art of improvisation, audience interaction, and character depth in a fast-paced, live setting. My experience also includes voiceover work and appearances in independent short films, giving me insight into the unique demands of both stage and on-camera performance. Whether you're just starting out, building confidence, or preparing for an audition, I bring a flexible, encouraging approach tailored to each student’s goals and strengths. I believe acting is for everyone, and my goal is to make it accessible, fun, and empowering — especially for young performers and hobbyists looking to explore something new.
