About AJ

Hey there! I'm -hopefully- your new English teacher! Why should you choose me? Because both of us share one important feature, and it's that both of us are students! Which means, that I understand exactly how you're feeling about studies in general, and I am here to assist you as much as I can and share my knowledge with you as well as learn from you too!

I am currently studying to become an English as a Second Language Teacher at Help University in Malaysia, and I would like to start online tutoring as a gateway for me to build my very first working experience in the field of teaching.

Fear not, I am in my third year at the moment, a few semesters away from performing an actual teaching practicum, so my lecturers have already prepared me to start tutoring privately, as I am able to come up with creative lesson plans to suit your needs and learning preferences, as well as conduct fun lesson activities to help you enjoy learning English!

About the lesson

1. Conversational Practise: To hone their speaking and listening abilities, I urge students to participate in discussions. Students develop their confidence and fluency in English via engaging conversations, role-plays, and discussions.
2. Grammar and vocabulary: I provide straightforward explanations of grammar ideas and provide fresh vocabulary. I give practise problems, examples, and explanations that are suited to the student's level and learning preferences.
3. Reading and comprehension: I suggest reading materials ranging from news items to short stories that are appropriate for the learner's competence level. After reading, I engage students in conversation about the book, respond to their inquiries, and aid in their understanding.
4. Writing Skills: By offering advice on sentence form, grammar, and organisation, I help students improve their writing skills. I provide students with helpful criticism to help them improve their writing communication skills.
5. Improved Pronunciation and Accent: I concentrate on enhancing students' pronunciation through drills, exercises, and listening activities. I work with students to identify and fix typical pronunciation mistakes so they can speak more clearly.
6. Customised Lesson Plans: I design classes depending on the needs, objectives, and degree of proficiency of the student. I customise the content and pacing to meet each student's needs, whether they are polishing their English for a specific exam, a job interview, or just for general communication.

A typical lesson's duration can change based on the learner's preferences and availability. It might last anything from 30 to an hour, giving students enough time for education, practise, and review.

I am just a future English as a Second Language Teacher, currently studying my bachelors at Help University in Malaysia. I am in my third year, and so far- my experience has been micro teaching experiences to my peers with the guide of my lecturer as an observer as well as teaching my own young siblings!

My lessons are available for CEFR levels of A1, A2, B1 and B2, all ages as long as you're enthusiastic about learning English!
