Fun, friendly, inspiring cello lessons with experienced, professional teacher for all ages

I have been taking cello lessons with Tori for over 2 years. Every lesson has been a fun learning experience and I have made amazing progress. Under Tori’s tutelage I successfully passed the ABRSM Grade 1 cello practical examination! Tori has an amazing talent for music and teaching and her passion is inspiring!

Tori is a brilliant teacher, a fabulous professional cellist and always cheerful and fun in the lessons. I recommend her . I’ve been having lessons with her for 18 months from beginner. She makes lessons very individualised to your learning style and preferences, focusing on ways that will allow you to progress quickly. She also sometimes plays along with you which is a huge help as it allows you to improve so much more quickly especially with bow technique and intonation. She’s got two beautiful music studios where she does her lessons, so you can be flexible and choose a time and location which works for you. She also runs group workshops for all levels every couple of months so you meet other players at different stages and abilities and we play different music styles together. I’ve just done the Irish one (next one in March) which was amazing and we played Irish reels and learned the techniques for making the music really sound Celtic. All the players could choose their own parts/adaptations so there were beginners and very experienced players all able to play together and all make progress! Absolutely brilliant how she does this. She does a symphony in a day too twice a year with a big group which I’m going to be in for the first time this year. Really looking forward. Fabulous teacher if you want to make real progress and have fun at the same time!

I always have a great time in my lessons with Tori. The variety of music that I get to play challenges me and helps me to improve. Lessons are full of laughter and because it is fun helps me to remember what I have learned.
