About Tom
I'm a tutor, bartender, and artist living in Nova Scotia. I learned French when my family lived in Toulouse for two and a half years at age 11. I then came back to Canada and started getting used to the Canadian styles of French, and have become very familiar with that as well. I specialize in standard French, but I'm very familiar with the Canadian style and vocabulary as well. I started teaching one-on-one classes in 2020 and I've been doing it ever since.

I aim first and foremost for a fun and low pressure environment in my classes. We start with the very basics and make sure you're comfortable, because having a strong base is the most important thing. Depending on your level I'll do my best to assess what you need to work on in the first class, and we'll put together a clear, step-by-step learning plan to help you progress.
With me you get a tutor with a very strong grasp on both French and English, and someone who can help you make sense of the grammar and sentence structure by explaining it in easy to understand terms.
I offer classes to students of all levels, ages 12 and up.
