About Gabriella

I am a qualified secondary school teacher with experience teaching and tutoring Maths. I have a degree in Geography with Quantitative Methods, giving me a strong academic background in mathematics, data analysis and quantitative reasoning, alongside my teaching qualification and classroom experience.

I have experience supporting students with a range of abilities and understand that Maths can sometimes feel challenging or overwhelming. I am passionate about helping students build their confidence alongside their subject knowledge, creating a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

My experience as a teacher means I have a strong understanding of the secondary school curriculum and the skills students need to succeed in their assessments and exams. I am confident adapting my teaching to suit different learning styles, abilities and individual goals.

About the lesson

My Maths lessons are personalised to the individual student, focusing on the areas where they need the most support. I use clear explanations and step-by-step examples to break down challenging concepts, before giving students the opportunity to apply what they have learned independently.

Lessons can include revisiting topics where there are gaps in knowledge, practising problem-solving skills, working through exam-style questions and developing effective exam techniques. I encourage students to explain their thinking and work through problems logically, helping them become more confident and independent mathematicians.

I can support secondary school and GCSE students across a range of Maths topics. Lessons are typically 60 minutes and can be adapted depending on the student's age, level and individual needs. My aim is for every student to leave each lesson with a clearer understanding of the topic and greater confidence in their ability to tackle Maths independently.
