About Margot
You hear the clean resonance of a well-tuned guitar string the moment we begin our work together. We start with a diagnostic skills check before building the lesson plan to ensure every minute counts toward your progress.
Whether you are focusing on fingerpicking, lead guitar, or general maintenance, I provide the structure you need to succeed. I enjoy working with returning learners who want to bridge the gaps in their self-taught knowledge. Sometimes we focus on technical accuracy. Every student has a unique path toward their goal, and I am here to help you reach it.

A Bachelor of Music in Popular Music from the Université de Montréal provided me with the formal foundation I needed to master my craft. I spent 13 years performing in the Montreal folk scene, which taught me more about the guitar than any classroom ever could. My 98 students range from self-taught players seeking structure to teens eager to refine their electric technique.
I prioritize clarity and logic because I know how frustrating it is to feel stuck in a creative rut. Music is a language that demands both discipline and a relaxed attitude to truly flourish. Helping someone finally understand complex blues progressions is one of the most rewarding parts of my day. I appreciate the process of building a skill from the ground up."
