About Polina
I am a first-year medical student at UCL. I received an A* in both A-level and GCSE Biology exams. I have a previous experience of tutoring at an online school, where I was teaching English to international students who wanted to improve their written and spoken English skills.

I am most passionate about explaining complex biological concepts in simple terms to make Biology an interesting and accessible area of studies for everyone. I structure my lessons in a way that allows me to first dissect a specific topic, providing the student with all the necessary information, and then focus on answering practice questions and perfecting the exam technique. I believe that teaching someone else is the best way to consolidate your own knowledge, which is why at the end of every lesson I like to spend a few minutes asking the student to summarise and explain the concept that was converted back to me to check their understanding.
