About Angus
Hi everyone, my name is Angus! I'm incredibly excited to teach students a subject that I feel extremely confident in and inspire people to love and appreciate the beauty of STEM subjects, Biology in particular!
I still distinctly remember when I studied GCSE Biology and A Levels, and how I gradually fell in love with the subject. I also strongly remember how stressful it was for me during the exam revision period so I understand the mental toll it can take on students, but my aim is to alleviate some of that stress so you can focus on excelling your exams!
I'd love to share my passion in the subject and allow students to be outstanding in order to pursue a career they may have in mind!

These 1-2 hour sessions will be targeted for any student in preparation for GCSE Biology or A Level Biology, focusing on areas in need of improvement, primarily through the best way of getting top grades: past papers!
I will set homework of past papers to be done in between sessions and will mark them before the next session. During the session we will go through the paper together to work on areas of improvement, give tips on how to tackle difficult questions, and explain my thoughts on tough concepts to understand.
Qualifications:
- A*A*A at A Level for Biology, Maths and Chemistry respectively.
- 9's in all three science subjects; Biology, Chemistry and Physics, as well as an 8 in Maths.
I am currently a 2nd year Medical student at the University of Leicester and I managed to achieve a grade in the top 35% of students in my year. Feel free to ask for help with the application process into med schools and I will happily provide advice for each step of the way along with my own personal experience.
I have experience teaching younger students in my secondary school difficult science concepts to grasp as well as many of my friends, all of them said they managed to attain grades better than expected in their GCSEs. I am also currently guiding two 6th Form students on their application process into Medicine.
