My name is Shahmeer and I am a Final Year Medical Student at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. I also hold a First Class Honours degree in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Materials from Queen Mary University of London. My main areas of teaching are Biology & Chemistry at A-level and Maths & Science at GCSE. I also provide mentoring in UCAT, medical interviews, and personal statements for students applying to study medicine at university. As a teacher, I strive to ensure that all my students grasp the understanding of the content and subsequently refine their exam technique to ensure that they maximise their marks in exams! As a recent school leaver, I can also empathise with the struggles faced by current students and, more importantly, I am aware of the changes that have occurred over the past few years to the education system. This makes me better equipped to deal with any challenges that my students may face in regard to content or exam format! My love for teaching dates back to my adolescence; helping my younger sibling with her Maths and Science at GCSE and A-level has developed my teaching skills and I wish to use this skill to help others achieve exam success! Furthermore, I have been tutoring A-level and GCSE students online for more than 4 years and have gained more than 800 hours of tutoring experience! I have the resources required to record each lesson and send the recordings to students should they wish to review the session in their own time and comfort. About the lesson

My lessons are centred around the student - whatever topic they decide to cover that day, I will ensure that we cover the content and gain a deep understanding. By the end of the session, at the student's request, I can set them past paper questions on the recently covered topics to be completed for the next session. By setting and marking questions, it enables me to track their progress and gain insight into whether they understand the topic and can effectively answer questions in an exam format. I will also provide constructive feedback and identify any weaknesses my student may have to help them improve and reach their maximum potential! I can also prepare lesson plans for future tuition sessions and ensure that we cover everything required during each hour.
