About Isaac
I tutor GCSE Maths and Chemistry, as well as 11+ preparation across all subjects. I achieved Grade 9s in both GCSE Maths and Chemistry and currently have A* predicted grades in A-Level Maths and Chemistry, giving me recent experience of the courses and exam techniques required to succeed.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s ability and goals, whether they need help understanding difficult topics, preparing for upcoming exams, improving exam technique, or pushing towards the highest grades.
I have a passion for bringing the best in students. From prior experience, I am able to teach students of all abilities and cater to their individual needs.

A general session would follow this structure
1. Quick recap — 5–10 mins
* Go over what was covered previously
* Check whether they understood it
* Short questions to identify any gaps
2. Main teaching — 15–25 mins
* Introduce the new topic/concept
* Explain it step-by-step in a simple way
* Use worked examples
* Encourage the student to ask questions throughout
3. Guided practice — 15–20 mins
* Work through questions together
* Gradually reduce the amount of help you give
* Focus on understanding why an answer is correct, rather than just memorising methods
4. Exam/independent questions — 10–15 mins
* Student attempts questions independently
* Use GCSE exam-style questions for Maths/Chemistry
* For 11+, use questions suited to the relevant entrance exam
5. Review & next steps — 5 mins
* Go through mistakes
