About Parth
I'm an A-Level student who achieved a Grade 9 in Maths and Further Maths GCSE, with 97% and 96% respectively, along with Grade 9s across all 11 subjects in the 2026 GCSE exams.
I've spent over 2 years of study dedicated to the Edexcel and AQA higher-tier exam board curriculums, having experience targeted to those exams. I'm taking this further through A-Levels in Maths and Further Maths right now, alongside Physics and CS.
I've regularly achieved Gold in the UKMT Junior and Intermediate Maths Challenges, as well as Merit in the follow-on Kangaroo rounds.
Having sat 3 maths and 2 further maths GCSE papers recently, I've encountered the content, lessons and revision firsthand, and so have a peer-to-peer understanding unlike other tutors - from a student, to a student.
My sessions are for Year 9 / 10 / 11 students aiming for a definite pass with top-tier results, through flexible and dedicated sessions. These are for:
- Pass Seekers: Must get a Grade 4 or above to avoid re-sits, and progress confidently to sixth form.
- Grade Boosters: Moving from a borderline Grade 5/6 up to a top-tier 8 or 9, valuable for future competitive opportunities.
- High Achievers: Upholding and securing consistent Grade 9s throughout mocks and final exams - like me.

Having recently achieved 11 Grade 9s myself, I know that success comes down to a specific, repeatable system.
1. Finding weak points - I used past papers, a curriculum checklist and teacher feedback to identify the topics I found the hardest
2. To build foundational knowledge, I use presentations to deliver the exam specification-based content
3. I use digital whiteboards to visually map out example problems, transitioning from conceptual to practical knowledge, using the “I do, we do, you do” strategy.
4. To achieve mastery, I use mark schemes, model answers and examiner feedback to construct answers that are both concise and satisfactory for full marks.
5. Practice builds perfect, and a combination of target topic tests, end-of-paper problem-solving questions and past papers will ensure we build up ability step by step.
6. Confident on that topic you did months ago? We’ll build up active recall through regularly revisiting exam questions from a diverse range of topics.
7. Homework & Marking: keep the learning curve high between sessions through targeted work and feedback from me.
MY TOP TIPS:
• The hardest questions found at the end of papers are not just problem-solving, but applying learnt concepts into unfamiliar ideas, with a method you have never been through.
An example is a vector geometry question in the January 2022 IGCSE, where most students did not introduce a second constant and equate coefficients, typically using lambda (λ) and mu (μ), causing a “huge problem for many students” according to the Principal Examiner’s Report.
The “very few” successful students were familiar with the standard method, commonly taught in A-Levels, hence had workings which were “clear and logically ordered”.
I CAN HELP YOU TO:
Go through these hardest questions with the “I do, we do, you do” practice, systematically familiarising and teaching methods overlooked at school.
Deconstructing marking schemes so you can write confident but concise responses, ensuring enough time to solve the harder end-questions, and recheck at the end.
Breaking down the complex topics into bite-sized, foundational knowledge - so that you can apply those concepts to any unfamiliar question thrown at you.
