About Lukas
I am a Year 13 student currently studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Product Design at A-level. I achieved Grade 9s in GCSE Maths and Further Maths, alongside Grade 9s in Physics and several other subjects.
I enjoy Maths because I like understanding why methods work rather than simply memorising them. This is also how I approach teaching. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and admitting when something does not make sense, so we can break it down and approach it differently.
Having completed my GCSEs recently, I understand both the course and what it is like to prepare for the exams as a student. I want to use that experience to help younger students become more confident and improve their results.

My lessons are tailored to what each student actually needs help with, whether that is understanding a difficult topic, improving exam technique, working through homework or preparing for GCSE exams.
I achieved Grade 9s in both GCSE Maths and Further Maths and I am now studying Maths and Further Maths at A-level. Having completed my GCSEs recently, I am familiar with the current style of questions and the areas students often find difficult.
I focus on explaining the reasoning behind methods rather than just giving students steps to memorise. We can work through topics from the basics, practise exam questions together and identify weaknesses to focus on in future lessons.
Lessons are suitable for GCSE and Key Stage 3 students of any ability, including students aiming for the higher grades.
