About Clemmie
I have 15 years experience as a theatre director and dramaturg. My previous work includes for Shakespeare’s Globe, Sonia Friedman Productions, Eleanor Loyd Productions, BBC Radio 4 Drama, in the West End and at theatres across the UK. I have been Associate Director on Olivier-nominated ‘Witness for the Prosecution’ at London County Hall since 2018. I also teach regularly in leading London drama schools.
You can find more information on my previous work and current projects via my website: clemmie reynolds.com
I have been lucky enough to work with many actors from all walks of life with wide-ranging experience; from professional, non-professional, untrained, in-training, children and young people.
I love working with actors to hone skills, develop versatility and - more than anything - to build confidence!

I can work with you on material to help you prepare for professional theatre or screen auditions. I can work with you on your drama school monologue and help you prepare for interviews and multi-stage auditions. We can work on a script you are rehearsing and just want a safe space to work on your character/text away from rehearsals. Or you can bring a text you’ve always wanted
to work on to continue your professional development and hone skills. I am also happy to work on dualogues or scenes if you and your scene partner(s) would like some extra support and an outside eye.
The 60 minutes is yours to use in whatever way you want;
to help you nail your audition, feel confident in rehearsals or on set, or access a space where you can continue to develop as an actor and be the best you can be. I look forward to working and discovering together!

Perfect! Clemmie helped me prepare at my very best for my one-woman show, which was performed at Riverside Studios this January. We are now working together on several scenes for my new showreel. Clemmie is a very attentive teacher who truly helps you reach your goals.

Perfect! Clemmie has been helping me prepare a monologue for a self tape for a drama school audition. Her lessons have been so thought provoking and have really challenged me out of my comfort zone. She has an amazing energy that puts you at ease and creates a safe space to explore acting and the challenges that might come up when exploring the character or difficult themes within the speech. I look forward to having more sessions with her!

Clemmie helped me with audition prep for drama schools in 2014, and also co-directed me in a version of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. She was fab in enthusiasm, knowledge, and kindness. That year I was offered a place at Mountview on the MA course (and waiting lists and recalls at other schools).
I can’t recommend Clemmie Reynolds highly enough for 1-2-1 audition preparation. Clemmie supported me through a multi-stage audition process for a leading role in a large-scale touring theatre production, which included both self-tape and in-person auditions. Her guidance was invaluable in helping me adapt and refine my performance for each medium.
Together, we worked on multiple scenes, including a particularly demanding scene that required an intense emotional shift - a true ‘snap’ moment. Clemmie helped me shape that arc, while also exploring the lighter, more nuanced scenes to bring out contrasting dimensions of the character. Her approach is rooted in curiosity and a deep understanding of text, always asking the questions that unlock detail and depth in performance.
We’ve also worked together in rep on two Alan Ayckbourn plays and what I love about collaborating with Clemmie is her ability to help you play - to remain open, present, and curious in the work. Her direction creates space to discover a character fresh each time.
Clemmie is an insightful, collaborative, and generous director - the kind of artist who lifts the work and the room. She’s out there working and knows what is required to get you the job. If you're preparing for an audition, especially one that asks a lot of you, she's the perfect person to have in your corner.I was in a brilliant, difficult new play directed by Clemmie and not only benefited myself from her insight, intuition and analytical intelligence but marvelled at the way she got the best out of the rest of the company. Anyone working on a new or classical text would be lucky to have her as a tutor .
Clemmie worked for me tutoring my son in English & drama for both GCSE’s & A levels, helping him to achieve excellent grades. She has a positive & cheerful attitude. I can highly recommend Clemmie as a reliable, conscientious, intelligent person who is totally honest and trustworthy. She is very good with children, providing them with support and encouragement.
I’m grateful for the dedication and supportClemmie has shown in teaching my daughter drama over the past year. Her thoughtful approach helped my daughter build confidence while learning valuable essay skills. She creates a relaxed yet focused environment where students feel encouraged to be creative and grow. |Clemmie strikes a great balance between structure and imagination, making her sessions both engaging and productive. As a parent, I’ve seen first-hand the positive impact she’s had. I would happily recommend her to any family or school.
Clemmie is an ex student of mine whom I taught throughout her time at secondary school. She is both academic & creative extremely knowledgeable & passionate about English Literature & Drama & students of all ages respond well to her. I can highly recommend her.
