About Alice

Hello!
My name is Alice, I'm a 2019 Cambridge graduate. I studied German and Russian, and over my year abroad/since graduation I've spent nearly 18 months studying and working in Russia. I have extensive teaching experience of teaching all ages in various schools and tutoring centres (Bucksmore education, iLearner school Hong Kong, OLA language school Ukraine, VZMAKH school Russia). I also regularly tutor individuals on Skype.
I'm an enthusiastic and attentive teacher. I love languages and I work hard to instil the same passion in my students - I think successful learning comes from enjoying the subject and from tangibly achieving one's goals. I have been learning German and Russian (and other languages) for many years and, while they can be complex and demanding, I hope to also show students how rewarding they can be.
I'm already very familiar with GCSE and A Level syllabuses and systems, and I am more than happy to tailor lessons in a particular direction as needed (eg. writing, speaking, listening or reading).

I was a fellow student with Alice at the University of Cambridge where we both studied Modern Languages. Alice is an exceptionally bright individual, with an excellent general knowledge skill set as well as a meticulous and in-depth knowledge of the Russian language and Russian culture. Alice's dynamic, empathetic and sociable character makes her an excellent tutor, teacher and classmate.
