About Adela

Hi! I’m a professionally trained German teacher with a Master’s degree in German Language and History Education from Charles University in Prague. I also studied at the University of Regensburg in Germany, where I earned a German Bachelor’s degree, and completed an interdisciplinary Czech-German Studies program.

I have several years of professional teaching experience, including three years at a public academic high school, as well as experience at elementary and private secondary schools. I have taught German to children, teenagers and adults, from complete beginners to B2-level students.

Beyond the traditional classroom, I regularly work at a Young University program in Austria, where I lead workshops for teenagers and work as a translator and interpreter. Working with young people in different environments has taught me how important creativity, curiosity and a relaxed atmosphere are for successful learning.

I’m an enthusiastic and creative teacher who genuinely enjoys languages and working with people. I love finding new ways to make German accessible, practical and fun — and one of my favorite moments as a teacher is seeing a student stop worrying about mistakes and simply start speaking.

About the lesson

Forget boring textbook-only German! My lessons are built around one simple idea: you learn a language by actually using it.

From the very beginning, I encourage my students to speak as much German as possible. Don’t worry about making mistakes — they are a natural and important part of learning. My goal is to help you become confident enough to actually use German in real-life situations.

Every lesson is tailored to your level, goals and interests. Depending on what works best for you, we might combine conversation with grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, work with authentic materials, play language games, use music and songs, explore AI tools, or even take the lesson outside and learn through real-life situations.

I teach complete beginners as well as more advanced students up to B2 level, including children, teenagers and adults. I can also help with schoolwork, exam preparation, grammar or simply getting your German speaking again after years of not using it.

I believe learning should be challenging enough to make you progress, but relaxed and enjoyable enough to make you want to come back.
