About Elizabeth
I’m a PhD in Physics with over nine years of teaching experience, and I’m here to make math approachable and rewarding for students of all ages. Currently, I tutor at the Mathnasium learning center, where I enjoy helping students strengthen their math skills and boost their confidence. I’ve also taught physics at IFSP and spent years doing research at UNICAMP, so I bring both practical and academic experience to my tutoring.
My teaching style is all about building confidence and making sure students truly understand the “why” behind the math, not just the “how.”.
I’m here to help students grow and succeed at their own pace.

My lessons are relaxed, engaging, and fully personalized to each student’s unique needs and current skill level. I tailor each session based on the student’s prior knowledge, specific challenges, and personal learning goals. Every class is structured to build confidence and understanding in math, making it easier for students to grasp even the most challenging concepts.
Each session lasts 55 minutes, allowing time afterward for me to create and send customized materials. After class, students receive follow-up resources such as recorded videos, practice assignments, curated problem sets, and any helpful screenshots from the lesson. This approach ensures that students have the tools they need to continue learning effectively between sessions.
