About Fragiskos

My name is Fragiskos, and I am passionate about helping people learn, grow, and build confidence through chess.

I have played more than 14,000 games on Chess.com, achieving ratings of 1243 Rapid, 1114 Bullet, and 976 Blitz. While I am not a master-level player, I have invested thousands of hours studying, practicing, competing, and learning from the game.

What sets my lessons apart is the focus on in-person learning and genuine connection. In a world where so much happens through screens, chess provides an opportunity to sit across from another person, think critically, communicate, and develop skills that extend far beyond the board.

My approach is patient, encouraging, and beginner-friendly. I enjoy helping students understand not just what move to make, but why. Whether you are learning the rules for the first time, looking to improve your strategy, or seeking a meaningful hobby that challenges the mind, I will meet you where you are and help you progress at your own pace.

Outside of chess, I am passionate about health, wellness, yoga, personal development, and lifelong learning. These interests influence how I teach: with curiosity, patience, presence, and a focus on the process rather than perfection.

About the lesson

In a world increasingly dominated by screens, my lessons offer something different: the opportunity to learn chess face-to-face through real conversation, connection, and hands-on practice.

I have played over 14,000 games on Chess.com (14,229 and counting), achieving ratings of 1243 Rapid, 1114 Bullet, and 976 Blitz, while completing over 100 puzzles and dozens of lessons. More importantly, I have spent years learning through practice, mistakes, competition, and continuous improvement.

Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to strengthen your fundamentals, lessons are tailored to your current skill level and goals. We focus on understanding the game rather than simply memorizing openings, helping you develop strategic thinking, pattern recognition, patience, and confidence.

Chess is much more than a board game. It teaches decision-making, problem-solving, planning ahead, emotional control, and learning from setbacks. These are skills that transfer directly into school, work, sports, and everyday life.

My teaching style is patient, supportive, and practical. Questions are encouraged, mistakes are viewed as opportunities for growth, and every lesson is designed to help students improve while enjoying the process.
