About Trent
I grew up in Miami, FL, where I started performing in rock groups around age 16. I played at some iconic venues in Miami including the Miami Heat Arena (Kaseya Center), Miami Beach Bandshell, and Lincoln Road. I'm now heading into my final year at NYU where I am pursuing a Bachelor's in Music through the Music Business program. I've performed at numerous venues in NYC throughout my time in college, and through those opportunities I've been exposed to a wide variety of music that I feel confident teaching. I have tutored a number of people from absolute beginners to proficient guitarists, and I find it cool and mutually inspiring when someone is as excited about learning the guitar as I am.

Guitar lessons shouldn't feel daunting or stressful, and they also shouldn't feel aimless or too unstructured. I find a good balance between keeping things light and easygoing, but also challenging you so that you can actually see your progress. I believe that the best way to learn is with songs you actually like, so I'll ask you to come to lessons with songs that you'd want to learn, and if you have no idea, I'll be prepared with my own suggestions. Every student comes from different levels of experience and learns differently, so I'll always focus on what you actually need rather than prescribing a rigid curriculum. I am open to tutoring age 12+.
