About Somil

Hi, I’m Somil Shah, Co-Founder & CEO of QDS Pro, a GMAT 99%iler, mathematics and aptitude educator, and experienced competitive-exam mentor.

My strength is simplifying complex concepts and teaching students how to approach challenging questions logically rather than relying only on memorisation and shortcuts.

I have extensive experience in mathematics, aptitude and test preparation, and have worked with students with very different starting points, goals and learning styles.

My academic and professional achievements include:

• GMAT 99%iler
• Co-Founder & CEO of QDS Pro
• Official Adjudicator for the IEA Book of World Records and India Book of Records
• India Book of Records Holder
• Recognised among the Top 100 Record Holders of 2018
• Master Numero Uno – the ultimate title at Numero Uno, Mumbai’s inter-collegiate Mathematics & Statistics Fest
• 4th Rank Holder at the University of Mumbai in T.Y. B.Com

For me, good teaching is not about simply completing a syllabus. It is about helping a student understand, apply and eventually solve problems independently with confidence.

That philosophy forms the foundation of my GRE coaching.

About the lesson

My GRE classes are personalised around your current level, target score, preparation timeline and areas of improvement.

I prepare students for the current **GRE General Test**, covering all three tested areas: **Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Analytical Writing**.

The current GRE is a shorter, approximately 2-hour test. Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning each contain two sections and are section-level adaptive, while Analytical Writing consists of one 30-minute “Analyze an Issue” task.

My classes focus on more than simply solving questions. We work on:

• Quantitative Reasoning concepts and problem-solving
• Verbal Reasoning, vocabulary and Reading Comprehension
• Analytical Writing and Issue-task strategy
• Data interpretation and quantitative reasoning
• Time management and pacing
• Question selection and test-taking strategy
• Speed and accuracy
• Error analysis and identifying recurring mistakes
• Mock-test analysis and performance improvement

My teaching approach follows:

**Diagnose → Understand → Apply → Test → Analyse → Improve**

We first identify where you stand and what is preventing you from reaching your target score. I then build your preparation around your specific strengths and weaknesses.

For high-scoring students, we go beyond basic correctness and focus on **precision, efficiency, consistency and decision-making under time pressure**.

The goal is simple: **not just to prepare you for GRE questions, but to help you become a smarter, faster and more confident test-taker on test day.**
