About Aurora
Hi there! I am a dedicated Business undergraduate student at Western University with a passion for helping others reach their full academic potential. Having graduated high school with a perfect 4.0 average and earned Ivey AEO status, I have developed a proven toolkit for academic success—from effective study habits to advanced time management—that I share with all my students.
I offer tutoring across a variety of subjects, drawing on my strong background in Business, English, and French (which I mastered as a second language). My goal is to make complex topics approachable and to build my students' confidence so they can excel independently.
Beyond the classroom, I am an active leader in my community, frequently coordinating large-scale volunteer events and logistics. This experience has made me a patient, clear communicator who can adapt to many different learning styles. Whether you are looking to improve your grades, prep for university, or master a new language, I am here to help you achieve your goals with a structured and supportive approach!

I believe that every student learns differently, which is why I customize my methodology based on age, goals, and experience. My approach is rooted in patience, clear communication, and the structured study habits that helped me maintain a 4.0 high school average.
For Kindergarteners: Learning Through PlayFor our youngest learners, lessons are high-energy and interactive. I focus on building a positive attitude toward learning. I use:
- Storytelling and Games: Building vocabulary through engaging narratives and digital tools like Kahoot.
- Physical Engagement: Using gestures and movement (Total Physical Response) to help them connect new words to real actions.
- Confidence Building: Celebrating every small win to foster self-assurance from a young age.
For Newcomers to Canada: Practical & Culturally ResponsiveTransitioning to a new country is a huge milestone. My lessons for newcomers prioritize functional, real-world communication to help you adapt quickly. We focus on:
- "Survival" English/French: Practicing everyday scenarios like shopping, house safety, or navigating the workplace.
- Non-Verbal Cues: Understanding Canadian social etiquette, such as eye contact and professional greetings.
- Safe Environment: Ample practice in a supportive, non-judgmental space to build your fluency for daily life.
For High School Students: Academic Success & Strategy. As a current Business student at Western University, I specialize in helping students bridge the gap between "getting by" and excelling. My high school lessons include:
- Targeted Remediation: Identifying specific knowledge gaps to improve overall grades.
- University Prep: Sharing the exact study skills, time management, and note-taking techniques I use for my own degree.
- Advanced Enrichment: Challenging high-achieving students with complex concepts to nurture a deeper love for the subject.

I hired Aurora to mentor my Grade 11 daughter with her university prep and scholarship search, and she’s been fantastic. Before Aurora, my daughter felt totally overwhelmed by the whole process. Aurora helped her break everything down into manageable steps, build out a clear timeline, and approach her essay writing with confidence. She’s super patient, really knows her stuff, and genuinely cares about helping her students succeed. My daughter went from feeling stressed out to feeling ready and excited for what’s next. I can’t recommend Aurora enough!
Aurora is an amazing French tutor! She recently started teaching my 11 year old daughter, and the lessons are always so fun and engaging.
Even though we just started, my daughter's teacher at school has already noticed great improvements in her vocabulary and pronunciation. It was a wonderful moment when her teacher pointed out that progress to me.
I highly recommend Aurora to any parent looking for a patient, creative tutor who genuinely connects with kids. She is definitely a Super tutor!View more recommendations
