About Kiamata
I am a middle grade Mathematics teacher with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics.
I have been in education for about 3 years and I am have passionate about teaching our youth how to be critical thinkers!
During this time I have taught 300 students and about 65% of them have moved to higher levels in math from data taken on district and state testing.
My strength in teaching is the ability to break a concept down based on understanding the student's misconceptions.
I listen to my students give me feedback and I adjust and tailor my introduction to their needs.

I am passionate, creative and understanding. I belive the best teacher is one that can learn from her students and that is my teaching approach.
My strength in teaching is the ability to break a concept down based on understanding the student's misconceptions.
I listen to my students freely think aloud so that I can pin point exactly where they are not connecting to the concept. I use that information to adjust and tailor my instruction to their needs.
My approach as a tutor would be a mix between blended learning and one on one consultations.
