About Jenny
Acting has helped me better understand myself, and I want to support others in building confidence and expressing their creativity. I aim to create a playful environment so actors have room to make bold choices, as well as breaking any challenges of stage fright and the idea of acting needing to be serious.

I’m a brand new tutor for online acting classes, focusing on practical techniques such as visualisation, self-taping, script work, character exploration, and actioning to help you develop unique and fun choices.
My aim is to create a calm and friendly environment so that you are comfortable enough to explore your craft. I would love to know about you before starting the lessons. Your acting aims, and goals, as well as any scripts, characters, or genres of theatre or film that excite you. I will tailor each lesson (or series of lessons) to suit your interests and aims of growth.
Sessions are mostly practical, with a strong emphasis on hands-on work. We’ll explore character in depth through actioning, active listening, improvisation, and directional guidance. I believe that also working with props, and adding costume elements to a scene can impact character and choices.
There will be many ways in which we explore character and their background. I particularly love the practical methods of visualisation, actioning, Meisner (to provoke listening), improvisation and exploring interaction/ relationship with the other characters and environment.
If you have specific scripts you’d like to work on/ or would like to revisit an old scene. I can arrange to take a look at them in advance. The session will be tailored around that specific character work. Alternatively, if you are wishing to get support for drama school auditions I can adapt these sessions into exploring your audition scripts, audition technique and self tape tips.
