About Scott

I have been performing for years and have experience both as the student/actor trying to qualify for a scholarship or a part AND as the teacher/director watching and judging these performances. I have an MFA in acting and over 10 years of experience as a professional actor in New York and regional theater. In addition, I have been teaching students how to get to the next level, with several students going on to college acting programs, with past students enjoying success as actors, writers, and directors in LA and NY. I firmly believe that every actor has the tools to give a great performance, but that like top athletes, you can benefit from the eye of a trained professional.

About the lesson

Looking to succeed in your next audition? Want to do better in your next acting competition? I have been coaching students to take their monologues and scenes to the next level by paying attention to both the fundamental technical adjustments as well as focusing on the overall skills of characterization and objective work. With 20 years of coaching students to the college and professional level I know we can all do things to improve the impact these few audition moments you have to show off your talent, and we can all benefit from having a fresh set of eyes review your work. I can also assist young actors to find the right material to showcase their individual strengths.
