About Savannah
I am a hardworking and passionate individual when it comes to the creative arts! I am super passionate about teaching as seeing people gain knowledge on what they're passionate about and develop new skills to apply to their work is worth its weight in gold. It inspires me to be more open to learning the craft for myself and I love an environment where we can change and adapt the work to what suits your learning style! I want to make sure that you are learning in a way that is helpful for you whether it be auditory, visual or even physically hopping up and acting out anything we need to find that understanding!

I have experience both working in drama workshops with 5-12 year olds, and I also have experience tutoring my fellow students at university in the lower year groups when I was in my third year! I also have excellent feedback from Stephanie Waites who owns the company from drama workshops - "You have such a gift when it comes to working with kids but more than that, for passing on drama to them." I specialize in teaching through mostly Chekov methods, relating the work to your physical action rather than always using memory to create connection to character. Teaching physical gesture and concentration alongside vocal and movement techniques I have learned in uni to reach an honest and successful performance, without sacrificing your mental health in the meantime. I am a big believer in teaching methods, alongside how to reach a good performance in the story / character, teaching how to get in and out of character. Separating the two in a healthy way. For theory sessions, I can help aid in analyzing scripts and characters. Finding the story arcs. I have taken classes in theater history, alongside theory classes in scriptwriting. I believe lessons will vary in time depending whether the student needs help with practical work or theory. Potentially working for an hour - an hour and a half on each depending on their age and level of concentration as some can take more from a shorter session and others like focusing in for a longer amount of time. I am flexible in terms of the age of the student as I have taught both secondary and primary students previously, and can change my language for what is needed.
