About Elisa

Hi there! My name is Elisa, I am an Italian/American student from Berlin currently living in Ireland for university. I have a passion for Physics as I study Astrophysics currently and I have been tutoring in maths for 4 years. I recieved my IB Diploma in Germany in 2022, and through helping my classmates I discovered my side-passion for teaching. I have recently completed my bachelor degree Astrophysics at NUIM, Ireland. I've been tutoring general secondary school maths for 6 years and Irish Leaving Cert Physics/Maths for 4 years. This year, I was awarded a Platinum MUSE award for my work as a tutor, and I've 1 year of experience teaching university level physics in laboratories.

I have brought multiple students from predicted failing grades to comfortable passes, even achieving as high as a H1 (Ireland). I find that most students just need an extra push! I believe one-on-one lessons can help students realize their potential through re-igniting curiosity for the subject, because passion comes from understanding.

About the lesson

My lessons are for any secondary school level, as well as primary school (ages 8-18).

I teach in a practical method, creating practice problems prior to lessons and making compact & practical study guides for students to access and use in their own time. These are on top of normal lessons (usually 1 hr/week but open to more time depending on the needs of the student) where I review class material & run through practices for exam grinds or teach mathematical concepts from scratch for general studies. I can teach in English & Italian.
