About Izzy

Hello!

My name is Izzy Mckenty. I'm a 25 year old working actor living in Manchester.

I have worked with children from ages 6-11 doing acting and musical theatre workshops and creating shows, with college students from age 16-18 workshopping theatre and also young professionals. I've worked as a stage manager at a theatre festival in the Czech Republic, an assistant stage Manchester in the Theatre Royal in Bath and an assistant director twice at Manchester School of Theatre.

I love acting and as i've been doing since I was 6 it is my absolute pleasure to help others who share the same passion as me reach their goals and develop their skills. Even if acting is not something an individual wants to pursue professionally, it is an incredible way to develop social skills, confidence and personal growth and I am here to guide, nurture and hone these skills with you!

I'd love to chat to you about anything and everything acting related and lets get you kickstarted on your journey!

About the lesson

I have 5 years of training, 3 of which I trained at Manchester School of Theatre and graduation with a BA hons. I'm currently represented with an agent and I am a working actor. I have worked in Theatre, Film, Immersive Theatre and Panto.
I've also completed my LAMDA grade 8 in acting, musical theatre and verse and prose.

My lesson length depends on your needs and goals. I teach lessons from 45-90 minutes.

I base my teaching around the individual. I believe we all learn differently and thrive in different ways! I like to have an introductory call for 10-15 minutes before we have a session to get a feel for who you are, what your needs are and your goals. :)

I offer lessons for people at any age as my lessons are completely tailored to what my students need within acting.

-Audition technique for TV, Film and Theatre auditions and
drama school auditioning.
-Public speaking coaching
-Shakespeare
-Acting through song
-The basics- starting out
