- My passion and love for music and the art of piano playing as well as my interest in helping others in their musical journey is my incentive to teach.

I believe every pianist should learn with depth and breadth. While the technique of piano playing is undoubtedly essential, the insight of how piano playing is interlinked with other fields of music is truly the key to understanding the emotional and historical context behind the music (and the key to not playing like a robot).

And that is not something every piano teacher offers - but here is why I can do this for you:

I am an experienced pianist with solo repertoires. I have performed solo in many school and private performances annually, as well attending Sydney and Ryde Eisteddfods, winning places and awards every year, while achieving a HC in the school's concerto competition. However, I also have experiences with the piano in small ensemble settings, performing with other talented musicians in concerts throughout my years at the school. Further, I have accompanied other musicians in their solo performances.

But my musical experiences extend well beyond the scope of piano. I also have studied oboe extensively and was a vocal scholar at the school. I have studied conducting as well, and have experience conducting a full orchestra.

Lastly, I have a wide understanding in music theory and composition, as studied at the school. These, alongside my performance abilities has allowed me to achieve a 97/100 and 50/50 for the HSC courses Music 2 and Music Extension respectively, while receiving 3 ENCORE nominations to perform at the Sydney Opera House.

About the lesson

- Typical lesson time: 60-120 minutes (accepting custom lesson times)
- Teaching AMEB classical piano performance up to and including Grade 8
- Tutoring HSC Music 2 & Music Extension courses

Qualifications:
- Recent graduate from Sydney Conservatorium High School
- HSC Music 2: 97/100
- HSC Music Extension: 50/50
- Won places and awards at Sydney and Ryde Piano Eisteddfods and 3 ENCORE nominations (references available upon request)
- Currently completing LMus for piano
- Grade 8 AMEB Classical Piano
- Grade 4 Music Theory
