About Fiorenza
I love teaching Italian to foreign students and develop with them their language skills and cultural understanding because this way I can put them on the path to becoming global citizens. According to the most recent language teaching research, I strongly believe that language learning can enhance personal and social growth. For these reasons, my first goal is to create a stress-free learning environment, where students are happy to come and are not afraid of making mistakes. As mistakes are only wrong hypotheses, analyzing them together means tailoring the teaching to the real needs of the class.

My courses are strongly focused on communication and culture, so that grammar structures and vocabulary are always presented in a communicative context. Through the analysis of material such as songs, newspaper articles, video clips, and literature, students are guided to develop basic and integrated language skills. All my courses are also strongly focused on diversity, equity and inclusion, and on experiential learning. The materials I select for my classes aim to present the real contemporary Italian society and to bring the students in contact with locals, so that they can easily use and improve their linguistic and cultural skills.
