Hello! I am a graduate of Yale University, where I studied Chemistry and Music, graduating magna cum laude and with distinction in both majors. I now study for a violin performance master's course at the Royal College of Music. I am a patient tutor and have extensive experience tutoring courses in math, science, computer science, history, music, and literature. I have experience teaching these from the earliest (eIementary) levels up through high school and college, including AP and GCSE A-level. I am also able to help with ACT/SAT/SAT II Subject Tests (having scored a 36 on the ACT).
While I have taken and taught many advanced courses, I am also very willing and able to teach young students. I have tutored primary and middle school students extensively – I am happy to provide student testimonials. Many of my lesson on platforms have been for beginning curriculum mathematics, early physics courses such as AP Physics 1 and C and A-level Physics, as well as chemistry.
I try to teach material in a very structured manner -- so that your student will have the tools to approach all types of problems, not just the ones that are presented in a homework problem set. If one way of approaching a problem doesn't click, I find ways to explain the material differently; everyone internalizes material differently, and as a tutor, it is my job to help your student figure a way which is best for him/her.
