About Dee
I am a dedicated and passionate performing arts tutor with real industry experience and a genuine love for helping students grow in confidence, skill and creativity. My background in drama, singing and musical theatre is supported not only by training, but by an active performance career that enriches everything I teach. I have played a wide range of roles on stage, including The Witch in Into the Woods and Miss Herman in Sweet Charity at the Eve Lyons Theatre. Alongside my theatre credits, I work professionally within the industry and have been involved in productions such as Songs for a New World, Shucked, Oklahoma! and The Last Five Years. These experiences allow me to bring authentic, up-to-date knowledge of performance, rehearsal processes and professional standards directly into my lessons. Students often describe me as warm, patient and encouraging, while still providing clear, constructive guidance that helps them progress quickly. I tailor every session to the individual so that each learner feels supported, understood and challenged in the right ways. Whether you’re preparing for drama school auditions, developing your vocal technique or stepping into musical theatre for the first time, my goal is to help you discover your unique strengths and perform with confidence. I am committed to creating a safe, inspiring and structured learning environment where students of all ages and levels can explore their creativity, build strong technique and enjoy the journey of becoming a more confident performer.

I take a warm, encouraging and highly practical approach to teaching, tailoring every lesson to each student’s goals, learning style and confidence level. My classes focus on building strong fundamentals in drama, singing and musical theatre while developing performance skills through creative exercises, script work, vocal technique and character exploration. I also incorporate industry-relevant methods such as Meisner, Stanislavski and storytelling technique where appropriate. My lessons usually run for one hour, although longer sessions can be arranged for audition preparation or advanced coaching. Students will receive personalised feedback each week, as well as clear, achievable steps to help them progress at a pace that feels comfortable and inspiring. I am an experienced tutor with a strong background in performing arts, including extensive training in drama, singing and musical theatre and several years of teaching students of different ages and abilities. I also specialise in drama school audition preparation, helping students refine monologues, improve vocal delivery and develop confidence to perform under pressure. My lessons are suitable for beginners to advanced performers, typically from age 8 upwards, whether you're building basic skills, preparing for school or drama exams, or aiming for professional-level training. I want all of my students to be a place where they can eventually self-assess and be confident in their ability of observation in other performances and become true self-aware, warm and generous artists!
