About Victor

Hey! I have always been intrigued by numbers and how they form the world around us. Therefore, I chose to study Mathematics Analysis and Approaches Higher Level in IB - often regarded as the most difficult course. Despite early challenges and setbacks, I managed to attain a 7 out of 7 in the final report. I believe that my own experiences will help a lot with students who may be struggling to understand concepts in mathematics. I have previously participated in the school's tutor program, where I have helped younger kids in their studies, including mathematics. The program gave me a first-hand experience into tutoring. In addition, I have worked part-time as a holiday program supervisor in a coding class, where I understood the importance of listening actively as well as coming up with solutions to address different types of issues one might meet along the way of learning.

About the lesson

My lessons will be structured around the students' own requests, whether it is to understand the concept better, or to do more exam style papers, or even to write a report, I will gladly cater to my students' needs.

I value the importance of conceptual understanding, and will design lessons around helping my students achieve confidence in their abilities. I discourage relying on memorisation and will heavily focus on forming a connection between the concepts and real-life applications to ensure that my students develop a true passion and interest for the subjects. This is extremely important as one's self-motivation is ultimately key to their success, and I want to ensure that not only are they motivated, but they also know how to head in the right direction by working smarter.

Whilst I believe in using exam style questions to improve, I do not encourage doing past papers without a solid understanding of the content. Please contact if interested!
