I know Douglas from our shared community for at east 6 years now.
Douglas is a patient teacher who listens attentively and then gives the exact feedback needed after understanding the full context of the student's position.
I remember a friendly debate a group of us were having and I recall noticing Douglas being attentive and silent throughout the duration until the floor was his at which point he gave the most fair and reasonable/nuanced response which basically ended the discussion because it was so spot on.
Douglas is a high quality character, with a heart of gold and great intentions, very knowledgeable in his craft and would make a great professor to anyone who need his services.
