About Shanthi

I am a mom of two daughters. Both my daughters excelled in school education in school and college. They graduated in top schools from the US and Europe. My daughter scored state first in Tamil in both 10th and 12th. Even after so many years and my daughters staying away from me, my love for teaching Tamil has extended to my grandson and other little children in our family. I’d like to teach Tamil to many young children who want to stay rooted in their language and culture.

About the lesson

I am a B.Ed graduate and taught Chemistry for 11th and 12th students in Tamilnadu Board. My pedagogy is based on making students practice what they learned through simple exercises.
- My target audience is school-going children who want to learn Tamil from scratch with basic grammar, reading, and writing. Open to adults who want to learn conversational Tamil.

- Three parts: 250 letters - uyir mei ezhuthukkal, increasing Tamil vocabulary, sentence making using questions.
