As the student is not understanding what is being taught to them, The first step would to have the student start before the problem began to find the root of the problem and try to reword how the concept is taught to them. If they do not understand the way it is taught to them, I will go forward trying different methods to help the student understand what they have missed and how each student learns. As an educator it is very important to work with your students and how they learn. If you are teaching through the multiple intelligences then every student that you encounter has a better understanding of what is being taught to them
