About Frances

I am a jobbing actor who has worked years in theatre from tours to small gigs to my own writing. My mum is also in the industry and I have often helped her in rehearsals or with casting. I am currently trying to redirect my work to film and write my own TV series for children about mental health and the brilliance of being different. I am dyslexic and have ADHD and have learnt that my power is the part of me I used to hide, as a teacher I want to make everyone feel special and make no one feel alone. I am set to film something this year and I want to show my students that anything is possible if you keep trying and keep believing.

About the lesson

My one to one drama lessons will involve really getting to know who you are and then what inspires you and what moves you. I work from a feelings-based approach and love of character and story, whether it is audition prep or wanting to bring out the stories you have been wanting to share. I fuse together all the different methods I have been taught and work with what the student feels suits them best, with acting there is no size that fits all, it's about working from your deepest self and your true honesty within side characters. I have helped people get into various drama schools and as my mother is a playwright I have a wide range of plays to hand and ideas new and old. I have worked for years in childcare on the side of acting so I am happy to teach any age and I can adapt easily. Acting is all about connection and listening so together we can be detectives and find stories that inspire us. No actor is the same so none of my lessons will be.
