About Chelsea
Students' hard work does not go unrecognized. I recognize and praise students for their hard work and dedication throughout sessions. Students need to be aware that you not only teach them, but you actually care about them and their learning. I have been teaching for 5 years, but I have been tutoring much longer. I became a tutor during my undergraduate term in college. Therefore, I have been tutoring since 2017. Throughout my many years of experience, I have learned many ways to approach the learning for students and ways to maintain student focus and engagement throughout the duration of a session. I also have students reflect on their learning at the end of each session and inform me on what they feel they needed further support with. Students need to be aware that their thoughts and opinions matter. They also need reassurance that you are there for them!

I strive to make learning fun. Students thoroughly engage and participate when the learning is fun! Therefore, I utilize game-based learning to enhance participation and understanding. I also build strong student-teacher relationships for students to feel comfortable and confident in their answers. I want students to be aware that it is okay to make mistakes, and learn from their mistakes with confidence.
