Hi! My name is Andre, and I’m a high school graduate from New Westminster Secondary School (NWSS). I’m fluent in both English and Spanish, and I have a strong passion for science, math, and helping others learn. I’ve gained experience through various volunteer roles—teaching kids to read, working as a coach, and being part of a peer tutoring program where I helped students prepare resumes for pre-employment courses. These opportunities helped me grow as a communicator and taught me how to adapt my teaching to different needs and ages. One of my greatest strengths is explaining ideas clearly. I’m a strong presenter, and I love turning complicated topics into engaging lessons. Teaching science especially excites me—it's something I genuinely enjoy and understand deeply. Every student can understand the science when it is explained in the right way. They just need the right explanation and support. I use simple, clear language, lots of examples, and a step-by-step approach. I’m very patient, enthusiastic, and always encouraging. My goal is to help students feel more confident and actually enjoy learning. Each lesson is personalized, but usually includes: -A quick review to check what the student remembers -Clear explanation of new topics, with real-life examples -Practice problems we solve together -Time for questions and a short review at the end I truly enjoy teaching, and I’ve had experience facilitating students not only one-on-one, but also in group settings as a volunteer tutor. This has helped me develop a very didactic and flexible teaching style—I know how to explain things in a way that’s clear, engaging, and easy to understand for different types of learners. Let’s work together to make learning easier, more enjoyable, and truly digestible. I’m here to help every step of the way!
