About Amaya
My journey with the guitar began through a fascination with musical creativity and live performance. This passion inspired me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Music before earning a PhD in Guitar Performance and Music Education. During my 10 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students pursuing many different musical goals.
I believe every learner deserves personalized support and clear guidance. My teaching approach focuses on building confidence while helping students understand both the technical and artistic sides of music. I enjoy creating lessons that motivate learners to challenge themselves.
Outside teaching, I continue studying performance techniques, composing original music, and exploring diverse musical traditions. These experiences help enrich my lessons and keep them engaging. Helping students discover their musical voice remains one of the most fulfilling aspects of my profession.

My guitar lessons are built around helping students become confident and versatile musicians. We focus on chord fluency, rhythm accuracy, picking control, strumming consistency, fretboard understanding, and musical timing through practical exercises and engaging pieces. Every lesson encourages active learning and steady improvement.
As students advance, we explore fingerstyle techniques, improvisation skills, melodic development, ear training, songwriting methods, tone shaping, and stage preparation. Lessons are personalized according to individual goals and musical preferences, creating an enjoyable and effective learning experience. Regular feedback helps learners continue progressing with confidence.
I believe music education should balance creativity with strong technical foundations. My goal is to help students enjoy the learning process while developing the skills needed to express themselves through music. Every lesson promotes growth, independence, and long-term musical achievement.
