About Zuri
Struggling with fuzzy notes during a power chord usually comes down to simple hand positioning, so we fix that immediately. I want you to feel the instrument vibrating against your ribs as you dial in that perfect electric technique.
We use custom backing tracks so students can practice soloing at home with a full band sound. Since I hold a BA Music from McGill, our study of music theory and improvisation feels intuitive and never dry. We tackle tuning and maintenance as part of the standard routine for every teen and returning learner. Getting the sound right is the best way to keep you coming back for more.

Sometimes teaching feels like being back at that summer camp where music was our only currency. To be honest, picking up a guitar connects us to something deeper than just notes. I have guided 154 students through their musical journeys over 9 years of experience.
Whether you are a returning learner or a kid finding your sound, we focus on what makes you want to play. You might be interested in blues progressions or just mastering your first barre chords.
My background in songwriting at McGill keeps our sessions rooted in creativity. I remember when I first struggled with chord transitions and reading tabs. It is all part of the process. We will reach that point where your hands finally move without you thinking about it.
