About Kathryn
"Pacing matters more than speed when you are learning to play. I start by observing your current habits and identifying where we can improve.
My sessions emphasize clarity and rhythm above all else. We will work through grade exam prep and songwriting as your confidence grows. My degree from McGill provides the academic rigor needed for serious study. You will receive a monthly recorded review of progress to keep you on track.
This helps you visualize your growth over the long term. These sessions are perfect for adults or absolute beginners. Just keep showing up."

"Barre chords and power chords require a steady hand to master. You deserve a teacher who knows how to break down complex theory into something that works. My 13 years of experience as a session player in Montreal keep my teaching grounded in REAL TECHNIQUE.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music from McGill University which informs how I build my curriculum. Having taught 497 students, I understand the unique path each person takes on their guitar journey. My background is deeply rooted in the chanson tradition of Quebec, and I carry that influence into my electric technique sessions. I enjoy helping self-taught players find the structure they missed.
