About Opal
My passion for guitar started through live performances, songwriting experiments, and exploring different musical styles during my teenage years. I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Music before earning a Master’s Degree in Modern Guitar Performance. During the last 6 years, I have helped students improve musical confidence through supportive and practical teaching methods.
I believe every learner develops differently, so I adapt lessons according to musical interests, confidence level, and learning pace. Some students improve through technical repetition and structured exercises, while others grow faster through improvisation and creative exploration. My teaching style combines patience, encouragement, and balanced musical learning.
Outside teaching, I enjoy recording instrumental compositions, studying modern guitar techniques, and arranging acoustic music. Staying active in music helps me introduce fresh ideas into lessons. Teaching guitar is meaningful to me because I enjoy helping students express creativity and confidence through music.

My guitar lessons focus on helping students build strong musical foundations while enjoying the creative process of learning music. I teach rhythm techniques, chord progressions, fingerstyle playing, scales, improvisation, and timing control through structured exercises that make learning engaging and approachable. Lessons are designed to encourage confidence, creativity, and steady improvement.
Beginners improve through chord transitions, rhythm exercises, and guided song practice that gradually strengthen coordination and timing. Intermediate learners develop stronger finger control, improvisation ability, and musical accuracy through technical drills and structured repertoire study. Advanced students focus on expressive solo playing, advanced techniques, and confident performance preparation through detailed practice activities.
I encourage students to enjoy their progress instead of worrying about perfection. Lessons support creativity, patience, and independent musical growth while helping learners improve comfortably. My goal is to help students become expressive, confident, and relaxed while playing guitar.
