Performing for 2 decades has taught me that music requires both grit and grace. I sometimes find that the simplest chord transitions are the most difficult to perfect. My Bachelor of Music degree from the UBC School of Music supports my method.
I have taught 232 students ranging from kids to busy working professionals. My technical expertise covers lead guitar, blues progressions, and songwriting.
Tuning and maintenance remain essential parts of my teaching curriculum. I also specialize in scales, modes, and the mechanics of playing effective rhythm guitar. Barre chords become manageable when you understand the physical structure of your instrument. I bring a disciplined yet encouraging atmosphere to every session.
