About Finn
With over 5 years of experience as a Guitar tutor, I specialize in teaching Guitar to college students in a simple and engaging way. I believe learning music should be inspiring and enjoyable.
My teaching style is patient, friendly, and student-centered. I adapt lessons based on each student’s learning speed and musical interests. I focus on strong basics and steady improvement.
I use innovative teaching methods such as song-based practice, structured technique exercises, and rhythm training. Students learn chords, strumming patterns, fingerstyle techniques, and timing by playing real songs. I also use backing tracks to build confidence.
Music theory is taught in a practical way so students can easily understand and apply it. I encourage creativity through improvisation and basic songwriting.
I aim to create a comfortable and motivating learning space. My goal is to help college students enjoy playing the guitar, improve consistently, and continue learning with confidence.

I teach Guitar with a focus on creativity, mentorship, critical thinking, and accountability. I want every student to discover their own musical voice. Lessons encourage improvisation, original compositions, and exploring different genres to make learning engaging and meaningful.
Critical thinking is key in my approach. I teach students to analyze songs, understand scales and chords, and solve musical challenges independently. This empowers them to play confidently and make creative decisions.
Accountability is essential. I help students set achievable goals, maintain consistent practice routines, and track progress. I provide feedback and celebrate accomplishments to keep motivation high.
Besides Guitar, I teach music theory, ear training, songwriting, and performance skills. Lessons are personalized to each student’s pace, level, and interests, making learning practical and fun.
My goal is to mentor students into confident, creative musicians who enjoy playing, composing, and expressing themselves through music.
