About Alexis
Artistic practice is a means to commit to a way of excellence. But how to express oneself freely with elegance, eloquence, and precision?
My teaching is based on simple, effective, and far-reaching principles. Manual skills (my specialty being plectrum technique) and knowledge of the instrument (vocabulary, improvisation) are developed systematically, with an emphasis on relaxation, attention and ear training. Elements of music theory may be presented to those interested.
I intend to share my expertise, in order to spare you any superfluous detours and unnecessary efforts. You will benefit from my forty years of experience as a guitarist, composer, and music workshop director. My teaching is of use to dedicated students of all levels.
