About Calum
I am an experienced musician looking to help others in their quest of improving at guitar!
My professional background includes performances at Glastonbury, Shepherds Bush Empire and Ronnie Scotts, as well as working for music exam boards, creating and assessing exam materials. I have also worked professionally in music production environments, and am happy to incorporate this into lessons at no extra cost (advised for aspiring professionals).
Within my 16 years of playing, 3 were spent studying towards a degree in London under some of the worlds best educators - acquiring knowledge that I’m keen to pass on.

The structure of your lesson will be entirely dependant on your goals, how you learn, and what you find most engaging. The first lesson will be an opportunity for us to talk about these and your previous experience (if any), so to help plan the following lessons.
If teaching at a beginner-level, an underlying aim of everything I teach will be to play music/songs that you enjoy. For example, if we're learning new chords or techniques, they will be applicable to a piece of music.
If teaching at higher levels, we can focus on more specific areas, either guided by my advice or by your preference. Examples of the latter could include if you have a music exam coming up, are aiming for college/university admission, or simply have areas of your playing you want to work on.
Lessons can be online or in-person.
