About Frances
Music is a language that demands order. Mastering the guitar requires 13 years of technical observation compressed into a weekly hour. We read tabs and sheet music. Power chords and strumming patterns follow.
Fingerpicking requires patience. Rhythm guitar stays steady. We explore improvisation, soloing, and acoustic technique. I include a practice module with every lesson to keep momentum high.
Tune your instrument regularly. You will find that maintenance becomes a ritual you actually enjoy.

Do you find yourself wondering why some chords feel so elusive on the fretboard? I have taught 143 students over 13 years, balancing a violin-primary background with a deep love for guitar.
My training at Schulich allows me to bridge the gap between classical rigor and contemporary play. I enjoy working with returning learners and those focused on performance goals. Teenagers and adults alike appreciate a direct, no-nonsense style. I aim to keep our interactions light and focused on the joy of discovery.
