About Lavonne
Many adults feel intimidated by the physical mechanics of playing guitar. Learning starts right here.
I utilize my BM Vocal Performance and TEFL degree from UBC to break down complex theory into manageable pieces for my students. Over 13 years of experience, I have developed techniques for reading tabs, fingerpicking, songwriting, grade exam prep, tuning, maintenance, and rhythm guitar. My personal narrative involves helping people navigate their new Canadian lives through music, and I deeply appreciate the unique rhythm of every student I mentor.

You will find a calm environment where the strings start to make sense. Lessons are structured and focused. My 122 students appreciate how I combine my UBC degree with practical skill building like fingerpicking and rhythm guitar.
