About Charnece
True musicality emerges when technique becomes invisible. Contrary to popular belief, playing fast is not the most important part of your development as a guitarist. We utilize the RCM syllabus to ensure you have a structured map of your musical abilities. My 13 years of experience teaching 216 students allows me to diagnose your specific needs quickly.
I integrate electric technique and theory into our weekly sessions to provide a complete picture of your instrument. You will find that my approach to barre chords and strumming is designed to remove physical barriers. We focus on clear outcomes that align with your desire to perform or pass exams. Your progress remains my priority as we move toward your musical goal.

Strumming patterns, power chords, and complex blues progressions are my primary areas of focus for guitar instruction. Cold steel strings vibrate under your fingers when you first start learning these techniques.
I have taught 216 students across my 13 years of experience. My instruction reaches teens, intermediate learners, and those focused on grade exam prep. I utilize my RCM Grade 10 training to teach electric technique, music theory, and fingerpicking. Providing a free trial session to assess your starting level is how I determine your current path.
I enjoy seeing students sharpen their ear training skills. I live in Edmonton and maintain a busy teaching studio. Music occupies most of my life.
