About Isla

My interest in guitar began from listening to live performances and experimenting with songwriting during my early years. I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Music before earning a Master’s Degree in Advanced Guitar Performance. During the last 9 years, I have helped students strengthen musical confidence through supportive teaching and practical learning methods.

I believe every learner improves differently, so I adapt lessons based on personality, confidence level, and musical interests. Some students improve through technical repetition and structured exercises, while others grow faster through improvisation and creative exploration. My teaching style combines patience, encouragement, and balanced musical development.

Outside teaching, I enjoy recording instrumental arrangements, studying modern guitar techniques, and composing acoustic music. Staying active in music helps me introduce fresh inspiration into lessons. Teaching guitar is meaningful to me because I enjoy helping students express creativity and confidence through music.

About the lesson

My guitar lessons focus on helping students develop strong playing skills while enjoying the creative journey of learning music. I teach rhythm patterns, chord transitions, fingerstyle techniques, scales, improvisation, timing control, and melody development using practical exercises that make learning clear and enjoyable. Lessons are encouraging, interactive, and designed for steady progress.

Beginners improve through simple chord practice, rhythm exercises, and guided songs that gradually strengthen coordination and musical understanding. Intermediate learners build stronger finger control, improvisation ability, and timing accuracy through structured drills and repertoire study. Advanced students focus on expressive solo performance, advanced techniques, and musical interpretation through detailed practice activities.

I encourage students to enjoy learning naturally instead of becoming discouraged by mistakes. Lessons support creativity, confidence, and independent growth while helping learners improve comfortably. My goal is to help students become expressive, relaxed, and confident guitar players.
